Determination of Surrey’s school admission arrangements for
community and voluntary controlled schools for September 2017
The admission arrangements for Surrey’s community and voluntary controlled schools for 2017 admission and Surrey’s primary and secondary coordinated schemes for 2017 have now been determined. Full details are available on the school admissions pages of Surrey County Council website under ‘Admission arrangements and outcomes’ – www.surreycc.gov.uk/admissions.
As part of the determination the following changes will be implemented:
Beacon Hill Primary School – introduction of admission criteria for entry at Year 3
Chennestone Primary School – introduction of a feeder link from Beauclerc Infant School for entry at Year 3
Cranleigh C of E Primary – reintroduction of admission criteria for entry at Year 3
West Ewell Infant School – decrease in Reception intake from 90 to 60
Change to the date from which parents can apply for a primary school place – introduction of a change to the date from which applicants can apply for a primary school place (Reception and Year 3) so that they will be invited to submit their applications from 31 October 2016 rather than 1 September 2016
Any person or body who considers that any aspect of these admission arrangements are unlawful or not in compliance with the School Admissions Code or relevant law relating to admissions, can make an objection to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator. Objections must be referred by 15 May 2016 and further information on how to make an objection can be obtained from the Office of the Schools Adjudicator website.
